Clear the Shelters – Hundreds of animals across East Tennessee are looking for a forever home. Many NBC and Telemundo owned stations are partnering with local animal shelters to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide push to encourage pet adoption. #CleartheShelters

One such local NBC Stations is 10News (WBIR) – Knoxville, TN.

This will be the fifth annual adoption drive will raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and the overcrowding issues that local animal shelters typically experience in the summer because of spring litters.

from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., an all day event!

Look Rock Picnic Area Reopens

Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials announced that Look Rock Picnic Area will reopen to the public on Friday, July 26, 2019. Park crews recently completed the first phase of a rehabilitation project allowing the site to reopen after being closed in 2013.
