New Principals Named for Dandridge Elementary, Jefferson Middle and White Pine School

Jefferson County Schools announce the promotion of three high quality assistant principals to the office of principal at Dandridge Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School, and White Pine School. This announcement follows the completion of interviews held the week of April 1, 2019.

Dandridge Elementary School

Mr. Jim Hodge has been named principal at Dandridge Elementary School beginning July 1, 2019. Mr. Hodge currently serves as the assistant principal at White Pine School. The elementary principal position is open due to Mr. Tommy Arnold resigning to accept the position of Federal Programs Director last month.

I am very honored and humbled to be selected as the principal of Dandridge Elementary School.  Mr. Arnold, his faculty and staff have worked to provide an outstanding academic climate for the students of Dandridge.  I welcome the opportunity to became a part of this dynamic learning community and look forward to working with the faculty, staff and students to provide the best academic and social environment for the students of Dandridge Elementary.”

Jefferson Middle School

Dr. Kevin Cline has been named principal of Jefferson Middle School beginning July 1, 2019.

Dr. Cline currently is an assistant principal at Jefferson County High School. The available position at JMS was created when Mr. Joel Sanford announced his retirement earlier this semester.

I am excited to become a member of the Elk Family. Jefferson Middle School has a rich tradition of excellence, and I look forward to working with each member of the school community. Go Elks!”

Dr. Kevin Cline

White Pine School

Mrs. Angie Rogers has been named principal of White Pine School beginning July 1, 2019.

Mrs. Rogers currently is an assistant principal at Maury Middle School. The available position is the result of Mr. Bill Walker’s retirement announcement earlier this semester.

I am both honored and grateful to have the opportunity to lead White Pine school.  I look forward to serving in this community and hope to continue the traditions Mr. Walker leaves behind. I welcome the opportunity to watch students grow in the K-8 setting and will work to provide the best environment for success for every child.”
